During my residency period at Association Pollen I designed a number of Zen gardens. These were an extension of my interest in creating an installation referencing Zen gardens which goes back to my initial proposal to the National Museum of Art, Osaka, in 2000. The trigger for these garden designs was an open gravel area located outside the hamlet of Gavudun, close to Monflanquin. The designs led me to create a universal flag based on my initial reseach into the theoretical garden layouts. All images are digital manipulations
