Satoru Tamura explores the Japanese obsession with accuracy. He wishes to create that which is exact, such as the exact weight of a lead figure. This is achieved with additional weights or by having holes drilled into an object, defacing or distorting the image, but nevertheless making it conform to his desire for accuracy.   Anything is allowed so long as the exact weight is reached. With the mechanical swing of a Baseball machine we may be in danger of the bat colliding with our skull, if we are not carefully. However that would simply be a result of our failure to comprehend the accuracy of the mechanical batters swing. Through mechanical means the work in this exhibition exposes the natural mechanism through which steam is created.
