Norihisa Hashimoto uses the medium of photography to document the world around him. These documentations then form the basis for installation works whereby the inter-connected ness of all things is explored. He has developed a technique for presenting photographs on spheres. These works are microcosms that allow us to focus on our relationship to the world in which we function. He has recently been working with two other artists, as a collective SCOPE. Together they are cataloging and presenting high resolution scanned images of insects challenging the viewer with "life size" images that are both beautiful and horrific.
