Takuma Uematsu highlights his relationship to the animal world and the spiritual elements that exist between man and animal. He is acutely aware of his existence and explores the reality of his life though surreal images that connect his birth to an awareness of all living things. He sees that all things are interconnected to make up one complete whole. The work in this exhibition, a monkey holding a wax effergey of a cellular Metosis, shows the pathos and humour that are regularly co-joined in his work.
